The girls then drew Wayne County in the consolation round and fell 2-3 with all three losses coming in a tiebreaker. They rebounded to defeat South DeKalb 5-0.

The Bearcats drew Tift County in the consolation round and defeated them 4-1 where they face Thomas County Central in a non-region match.

Bainbridge won the match 4-1 to win the consolation bracket and pickup a key confidence boost for region play.

Head Coach Amy Thomas said that both teams played very well and gained some valuable experience by playing unfamiliar teams such as Camden and Wayne. The teams traveled to Moultrie on Tuesday and will host TCC on Thursday.
