Myrle T. Culverson, 73, of Snellville, Ga., passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Brinson Cemetery.

Myrle Taliaferro was born April 3, 1943, in Bainbridge, Ga., the daughter of Cherry Taliaferro and Clara Brown Taliaferro. She was a homemaker and of Methodist faith. Myrle enjoyed spending time with the family she adored. Her children describe her as a loving mother who always put others first. Although her favorite pastime was shopping, Myrle’s favorite place was not a mall but the beach where she made fond memories with her family.

Survivors include her children, Marilyn K. Culverson of Roswell, Ga., Roy Roland Culverson and Ronnie Earl Culverson both of Snellville; her siblings, Eleanor Lloyd of Columbia, SC, Earl Taliaferro of Locust Grove, Ga., Kenneth Steve Taliaferro of Snellville, Cherry Lee Taliaferro of Bishop, Ga. and Jimmy Taliaferro of Tallahassee, Fla.; her grandchildren, Travis Roy Culverson and Bailey Ann Culverson; and her great-grandchildren, Bella Ann Culverson and Noah Travis Culverson. Myrle was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Julia Jones and Harden Taliaferro.
