Anna Kay Pollock, age 65, passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Services for Ms. Pollock will be held at Morningside Baptist Church, 3 pm, Sunday, February 26. The Rev. Tim Dean and the Rev. Jimmy Dean will be officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memory Gardens. Eddie Johnson, Rusty Josey, Corey Wells, Jeremy Pollock, Brad Wells, Byrl Harrell, and David Pollock will serve as pallbearers. Bainbridge High School class of 1969, and Debbie Coleman, Babs Coyle, Rosalyn Barber, Teresa Carlyle, Vickie Cross, Suzi Bonifay, and Debbie Williams will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 2 p.m.

Anna was born June 18, 1951, to Eugene Pollock and Christine Dean Pollock. She was a charter member of Morningside Baptist Church. Anna served her church faithfully in many areas over the years. She sang in the choir and was an active member of the Mary Martha Sunday School Class. A gifted writer, she had a published book, I Am Joshua. A second book is nearing publication. Ms. Pollock retired from the Decatur County School System. During her career she was coach of the junior varsity softball team, assistant coach of the varsity softball team, an administrative assistant for one of the assistant principals and later administrative assistant for the athletic director at Bainbridge High School. Very athletic, she played summer softball for years. Basketball, also, was her passion. She cheered for the Lady Vols of University of Tennessee and the Lady Noles of Florida State University. Anna was a diehard Bearcat fan. Anna Pollock will be greatly missed by her family and many, many friends.

Anna Kay Pollock is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Beverly Pollock; her sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Tony Wells; nephews and niece, Jeremy Eric Pollock, Corey Leigh Wells (Lily), Bradley Jarrod Wells, and April Pollock Buffaloe (Michael); great nieces and nephews, Natalie, Kike, and Zoe Isabelle Wells, Braylee Anna Wells, and Micah and Asher Buffaloe. She was preceded in death by her parents.
