Ivonne Mitchell Anderson, age 84, of Donalsonville, Ga., passed away on February 16, 2017, at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Ala..

Funeral services were held on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at 3 p.m. at Spring Creek Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Jason Hampton, B.J. Jones, Joshua Jones, Glen Anderson, Ashley Anderson, and Brian Anderson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were James Davis, Kenny Bradley, Wyatt Lewis, Joshua Wine and the members of the Lake Seminole Lions Club. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service starting at 2 p.m. at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Seminole Lions Club.

Mrs. Anderson was born on March 15, 1932, in Thomaston, Ga., to Willett Franklin Mitchell and Lila Mae Todd Mitchell. She worked as a cashier at Kwik Check. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church and the Lake Seminole Lions Club. She enjoyed cooking for her children and seniors at the church, fishing, sewing, baking, volunteering at the Georgia Camp for the Blind, helping others in need, loving on her grandchildren (especially to take them to the beach) all as long as her health allowed.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by her son, Jimmy Anderson of Donalsonville; her daughters, Judy Thomas of Warner Robins, Ga., Wanda Decker and her husband Johnny of Warner Robins, and Glenda Jones and her husband Bill of Dothan, Ala.; her daughter-in-law, Janet Anderson of Midland City, Ala.; her grandchildren, Jason Hampton, Kacie Davis and her husband James, Carly Bradley and her husband Kenny, April Decker, Sarah Lewis and her husband Wyatt, Haley Wine and her husband Joshua, B.J. Jones, Joshua Jones, Glen Anderson and his wife Nicole, Casey Rae, Ashley Anderson and his wife Lindsay and Brian Anderson. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents, Willett Franklin Mitchell and Lila Mae Todd Mitchell; her husband Glen Melvin Anderson; and a son, Glen Eugene Anderson.
