Originally from Santaquin, Utah, life carried her across the country and globe making homes in New Mexico, Alabama, Nevada, the Philippine Islands, the Pacific Northwest, Florida, and most recently, Bainbridge, Georgia for the past 12 years.

She earned a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education at Utah State University, teaching for a short period before dedicating her life and talents to being an exceptional mother and homemaker. She blessed all who knew her with a most generous heart, insatiable curiosity, indomitable optimism, and firm testimony of her faith. Her passions were growing herbs and heirloom roses, literature, cooking, traveling to Lake Como, Italy, sharing her life with her family, her home in Bainbridge, serving others, and her relationship with her Heavenly Father.

She is survived by her children, Charity Trawick of Bainbridge (Cheshire), Rachel Spencer of Tooele, Utah, Sarah Hake of Maplewood, N.J. (Justin), Adam Kemp of Winston-Salem, N.C (Mitzi) and her seven grandchildren Jonah, Ethan, Eden, Harper, William, Violet, and Rhys. She is also survived by her mother Ruby Kaletta, her brothers Bob Kaletta (Joann) and Paul Kaletta (Gail), and her sisters Brenda Mikesell (Dale) and Debbie Kirk.

A private memorial for immediate family will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017. To honor her passion for education, Memorial donations may be made to the Vicky Lynn Kemp Scholarship, c/o Bainbridge State College Foundation, 2500 East Shotwell Street, Bainbridge, GA, 39818.
