Larry Wilson, 76, of Albany, Ga., died January 30, 2017, at his residence.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Sherwood Baptist Church Chapel. Dr. Michael C. Catt, Rev. John Spencer, and Rev. David Smith will officiate. Committal services follow at 3 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Tallahassee, FL.

A native of Decatur, County, Ga., Mr. Wilson grew up in Bainbridge. He graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1958, and attended the University of Georgia.  Mr. Wilson moved from Tallahassee, Fla. to Albany, in 1968, and was a partner in Albany Industrial Distributing Company, Inc.  He was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and the Fishers of Men Sunday School Class.  He was also a member of Stonebridge Golf and Country Club, The Men’s Golf Association and the Stonebridge Mafia Group.

Survivors include his wife, Lois M. Wilson of Albany; two sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Robbie Wilson of Athens, Ala. and Scott and Kelley Wilson of Albany; seven grandchildren, Hannah Donaldson and her husband, Morgan of Alabaster, Ala., Nathan Wilson and his wife, Ann Marie of  Destin, Fla., Stephen Wilson and his wife, Taylor and Emmalaura Wilson all of Madison, Ala., Mae Mae Wilson and Betsy Wilson both of Athens, Ala.  and Ivy Lyn Wilson of Albany; and three great-grandchildren, Henry Donaldson, Ethan Donaldson and Anna Kate Wilson.  Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his eleven siblings.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the atrium at Sherwood Baptist Church.
