Study Abroad with BSC in Central Europe

Have you ever been interested in traveling to Central Europe and seeing the many wonders of Budapest, Vienna, Prague, and Munich? Students and community members are invited to come for this once-in-a-lifetime trip!
Bainbridge State College study abroad students and faculty will leave from the Tallahassee Airport on May 10, 2018, and fly into Budapest, Hungary. While in Budapest for two days we will have a guided sightseeing tour of the city and visit landmarks such as Castle Hill, Royal Palace, the Hungarian Parliament, Matthias Church, the Fisherman’s Bastion, and enjoy a Danube River Cruise. The next stop will be Vienna for two days. Students will have guided tours and enjoy such landmarks as Schonbrunn Palace, Parliament, Ringstrabe, Hofburg, Opera House, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, and a Mozart Concert.
The next stop will be a day trip for a guided walking tour of Cesky Krumlov. Then they will travel to Prague and experience guided tours of Hradcany (Prague Castle), St. Vitus Cathedral, Charles Bridge, Mala Strana, Old Town Square, and the Jewish Quarters. Our last destination is Munich. On their way there from Prague, they will stop for a tour of Dachau Concentration Camp and Memorial. Once in Munich, students and faculty will have the opportunity to visit many different locations including Residenz, Nymphenburg Palace, Alte Pinakothek, Deutsches Museums, BMW Headquarters, Olympic site of 1972, Frauenkirche, Neues Rathaus, Marienplatz, Hofbrauhaus, Neuschwanstein Castle, and finish off with a traditional Bavarian bratwurst dinner. Our trip will conclude with a flight home on May 19, 2018.
Scholarships will be available for students registered at BSC for the summer semester of 2018, even transient students. This study abroad experience is also open to any interested community members.

The cost of the program includes airfare, hotels, meals, tour directors/guides, and entrance into the previously listed locations. A current passport will be required for travel to Europe from America. Students interested in the trip can receive credit in any of the following courses: Anthropology, Biology, English, History, Humanities, and Study Abroad.
Additionally, the group will have information meetings at Bainbridge State College on the following dates: January 24th in the library at 6:00 pm, February 6 at noon in the Student Wellness Center and 6 p.m., in the library, February 14 at noon in the Student Wellness Center, February 22 at noon in the Student Wellness Center and 6 p.m. in the library, March 13 at noon in the Student Wellness Center and 6 p.m. in the library, and March 14 at noon in the Student Wellness Center and 6 p.m. in the library.
