Bainbridge Public Safety is currently investigating a series of vandalisms at the Bill Reynolds Sports Park including one that occurred this past weekend.

Recreation Authority employees reported the incident on Monday after damage was discovered to the concession stand at Complex 3.

“They broke into one of the concession stands and broke the windows and messed up a cash register,” Recreation Authority executive director Al Kelley said.

Previous incidents have included damage to the restrooms near the batting cages and a picnic table being moved into one of the restrooms.

BPS Investigator Chip Nix said that it is still under investigation and they hope to identify the person or persons from the evidence that they have collected.

“If we catch them, and we will, we are going to prosecute them,” Kelley said.

The Recreation Authority is currently looking at options to deter future vandals.
