The Bainbridge High School wrestling team traveled to Cairo on Saturday to wrestle against Valdosta, Tifton, Cairo, Pelham, Berrian, Leon and TCC in their last tournament of the regular season. With the tournament under a time strain due to server weather, the wrestlers got out to a fast start with six of Bainbridge’s 13 wrestlers making it to the championship round.

The tournament was canceled due to tornado watch, but not before the Ryan Adam and Tre’s Storey won their weight classes. Tanner Brown placed second, Randy Fillingame, Tre Kirksey, Keenan Severson and Arkeavious Marshall each placed third.

“We look forward to one last week of practice before traveling Macon for region tournament,” head coach Chad Smith said. “I was really impressed with the guys today. Tanner Brown wrestled the best he ever has with Ryan Adams and Tre’ Storey are returning back to gold medal form.”
