After Cairo, Bainbridge has three consecutive weeks of tough competition to end the season. Jan. 27, they have the region tournament at Veterans High in Kathleen. The top four in each weight class will advance to the west side of Georgia sectionals where over 200 wrestlers will be competing.

The top eight in each class move on from sectionals to state looking to place in the medal round of the top six.  Only three wrestlers have placed at the state level in the 19 year history of the Bainbridge program: Chad Smith, Trey Brenton and Peter Williams. Last year, Adams was one win away from placement. Both Adams and Tre’ Storey should return this year and wrestle for medals according to head coach Chad Smith.

Sophomore Randy Fillingame is making a serious statement with his 20-6 record this year. He is tied for the most wins on the team with Storey who has a 20-4 record.
