The Grace Christian Academy Lady Cougars lost to Brookwood School on Friday, Dec. 16, with a score of 26-40. The loss puts the Lady Cougars at 5-4 on the season as they head into their next game on Jan. 3.
Caroline Wells led the scorers for GCA with 10 points, with Kaitlyn Holcombe putting up 8 points to be the second leading scorer. Brookwood was able to hold freshman standout Mikey Harrell to 4 points on the game, which could have been the difference maker. Only two other Lady Cougars scored and combined for 4 points. Harrell and Holcombe grabbed 6 rebounds
Despite the 15 point fourth quarter the Lady Cougars had, the score difference of the first three quarters proved to be too big of a mountain to climb.
The silver lining is that this was not a region game so the Lady Cougars still sit a 2-0 in the region.
