Registration for the Bainbridge youth baseball and softball programs opened up on Monday, Dec. 5, and will continue through Jan. 27. Registration this year will be handled all online, which is a change from the old way of doing things for youth baseball.

To register, parents need to go to playbainbridge.com, where they can be directed to a link that will take them to the registration process.

The goal is to streamline the process in the long run, according to Program Director Joey Lee.

“We know it’ll be easier when we get our database built up,” said Lee, “but it’ll be difficult in the first year.”

The registration process for all youth sports is going to become an online matter, which despite being difficult in the first year, it will become easier as more and more people use it. Once the database is built up, whoever is registering for whichever sport will be able to simply select whichever sport they are registering for.

Along with the new website registration process, the baseball fields will be receiving an upgrade this offseason. New nets will be installed above the concession stands in order to better protect the spectators and those visiting the concession stands during game times.
