James Ray Poitevint

Mr. James Ray Poitevint, age 63, passed away early Monday, November 21, 2016, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia.  Private family services will be held at a later date.

James Ray Poitevint was born in Thomasville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda Sue Poitevint.  Ray worked as a plumber. He loved to fish and enjoyed telling jokes.  Ray was happy to have his son, Jody, and family living near him again.  His grandchildren brought him so much pleasure.  Ray loved to watch wrestling and Chuck Norris.  He was the honorary “Mayor” of Selman Place.  Ray had many friends who, along with his family, will miss him very deeply.

James Ray Poitevint is survived by his sons, Jody Poitevient and wife, Melissa of Bainbridge, Georgia and Marcus Poitevint of Moultrie, Georgia; grandchildren, Isaac Poitevient, Aimee Poitevient, and Gavin “Bubba” Glass; and half-sister, Debbie Johnson and husband, Mark of Bainbridge.
