BHS cross-country teams wrap up season at state meet

The Bainbridge High School cross-country teams capped off the year with strong efforts at the State Meet in Carrollton.

The Bearcats team came in 28th place and the Lady Cats team came in 30th.

Stokes Moore led the charge for the Bearcats with a 112th place finish out of 214 runners. He clocked in with a 5K time of 19:38.66. Efrain Diaz returned for the final run of the season with a strong 20:00.86 run.

Wright Cook clocked in with a 20:27.51, Andru Matthews wrapped the race up with a 21:51.08 time, Haydn Griffin came in at 22:01.29, John Willis Maples clocked in at 22:10.34 and Nathanial Lambert crossed the finish line at 22:17.74.

The Lady Cats were led by Uriyah Davis, who came in 90th place out of 208 runners with a time of 23:52.54.

Camry Fillingame came in three seconds later with a time of 23:55.10. Aida Diaz was next in line for Bainbridge, crossing the finish line with a time of 26:10.57.

Alaiya Schuyler came in at 30:04.65, followed by Caitlin Shephard at 30:17.37, Lani Jackson at 30:24.14 and Chloe Enfinger at 31:13.90.

The Bainbridge cross-country teams will return to action in August 2017.
