Mr. Cleo Parks Brock, age 85, passed away early Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at his home in Decatur County, Georgia. Services for Mr. Brock will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 3, 2016, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the chapel. A private interment will be held in Brock Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 10 a.m..
Cleo Parks Brock was born March 29, 1931, in Brinson, Georgia, to W.B. Brock and Bama Taylor Brock. He was raised a hard-working, farm boy. Mr. Brock served, proudly, in the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Ethlyn Everett Brock. They were married almost 60 years. Cleo retired from the civil service, working at the Marine Logistics Base in Albany, Georgia. Mr. Brock enjoyed fishing and working in his garden. He loved time spent on his tractor. He was that hard-working farm boy all his life. Cleo Brock will be deeply missed by the family and friends that loved him so very much.
Cleo P. Brock is survived by his wife, Ethlyn Everett Brock of Bainbridge; daughters, Diane McLendon and husband, Denver of Leesburg, Georgia, Melinda Shamburger and husband, Henry of Whitehouse, Texas, and Ruth Brock of Covington, Georgia; grandchildren, Leigh McLendon, Laura McLendon, and Garrett Shamburger; also, his faithful companion, Shorty.
Memorial donations may be sent in his honor to the Lighthouse Children’s Home, 7771 Mahan Drive, Tallahassee, Florida 32309.
