Cross-Country competes at TCC

The Bearcat cross-country team came in sixth place out of 16 teams last Saturday, and the Lady Cats claimed sixth place out of 15 teams at the Yellow Jacket Invitational 5K in Thomasville.

Bainbridge was led by Wright Cook, who clocked in at 18:47 and finished 17th overall out of 166 runners. Stokes Moore was behind him at 19:07 and Haydn Griffin came in at 19:09.

Nathaniel Lambert passed the finish line at 19:34, Andru Matthews wrapped the race up with a 20:22 and John Willis Maples came through with a 22:58.

Uriyah Davis was quickest on the Lady Cats team, coming in 13th overall out of 128 runners and posting a time of 22:43.

Camry Fillingame was 19th with a time of 23:33. She was followed by Aida Diaz with a time of 25:18 and then Caitlin Shephard with a time of 26:11.

Lani Jackson clocked in with a time of 27:05, Chloe Enfinger came in at 27:59. Julie Wells crossed the finish line at 29:30 and Makayla Ingram came through at 32:30. Megan Hyatt finished off the Lady Cats’ efforts with a time of 35:26.

Saturday, the cross-country teams will race at the Springhill Christmas Tree Farm for the Epic 5K, a race that honors deceased former BHS cross-country runner Dylan Faircloth.
