Sharon Lee Bell, 66, of Tallahassee, Fla. passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016.

The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 10, 2016, at Evangel Assembly of God Church in Tallahassee. Interment followed at 3 p.m. at Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Climax, Ga., with her nephews serving as active pallbearers.

The family received friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, 2016, at Capital City Church of God, 862 Blountstown Hwy, Tallahassee. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com.

Sharon was born September 12, 1950, in Clanton, Ala., the daughter of Ben F. Bell and Pearl Davis Bell. Sharon lived in North Florida for the past 40 years and attended Evangel Assembly of God. Sharon served the State of Florida with the Department of Children and Family for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed being outdoors and in her spare time could often be found camping or occupying a favorite fishing hole. Sharon had a love of gardening as well as canning and sharing the vegetables that she produced. In the small amount of time that she spent indoors she enjoyed various craft projects and occasionally ceramics.

Survivors include her children, Sonja Atkins, Paul Atkins and his wife Kathy and Susan Hildebrandt and her husband Charlie, all of Tallahassee, FL; her siblings Jack Bell of Havana, Fla., Mary Hutto of Lake Seminole, Ga., Patsy Burgess of Tallahassee and Marie McCorkel and her husband Kenneth of Dayton, Trxas; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson.
