Bearcat cross-country teams race in Albany, finish in top 20

The Bainbridge cross-country teams posted strong times last Saturday at the Westover Invitational 5K in Albany, with the Bearcats coming in 17th place out of 32 teams and the Lady Cats coming in 17th place out of 20 teams.

Five of the six varsity Bearcat runners crossed the finish line under the 20-minute mark.

Stokes Moore was first with a time of 18:15, followed by Nathaniel Lambert in a time of 18:45.

Wright Cook was right behind with a time of 18:50, with Haydn Griffin trailing nine second later at 18:59.

Andru Matthews clocked in with a time of 19:35 and John Willis Maples hit 22:15.

The Lady Cats were led by Uriyah Davis with a time of 22:21. Behind her was Alaiya Schuyler with a time of 24:28, Aida Diaz at 24:45, Caitlin Shepherd with a time of 26:09, Chloe Enfinger at 26:19, Julie Wells at 27:05 and Mikayla Ingram at 33:22.

The cross-country teams return to the trail this Saturday for a meet at Tift County.
