Eighth grade Bearcats run over Washington Middle

In their final regular season game, the eight grade Bearcats ran wild on their way to a 36-13 victory over Washington Middle School out of Cairo. The Bearcats had three scoring runs of at least 15 yards in the game as they completed another undefeated regular season.
Caleb McDowell scored the first touchdown of the evening on a 22-yard run with 1:15 remaining in the first quarter. He then added another score on a one yard run with 3:06 left in the second to give the Bearcats a 14-0 lead.
Rashod Broadnax broke free for an 80-yard score soon after to put the Bearcats up 22-0 heading into halftime.
They stretched their lead to 30-0 with 5:18 left in the third quarter when McDowell found Jvon Lee for a 37-yard touchdown pass.
Washington Middle scored on a five-yard run late in the third to cut the gap to 30-6 before Lee scored his second touchdown of the game on a 15-yard run to put the Bearcats back up 30.
Washington again found the endzone late in the fourth quarter, but the Bearcats came away with the 36-13 victory.
