For the 32nd consecutive year the Bainbridge High School Marching Band earned Superior Ratings in all captions at the South Alabama Band Festival in Rehobeth, Alabama on September 24th.
The band adjudicators were from across the Southeast and all had high praises for the “Bearcat” Band. “Wonderful musical performance and one of the best bands I have seen this year” said one of the judges.
Director of bands Paschal Ward said “I am very proud of all of our students, our band students work very hard at practice, football games and to receive this recognition is extremely meaningful to all of us.”
Our students benefit from festivals such as this in many ways. How to get along with one another, how important it is to pick unity over self, how to work in sweltering conditions and most important they learn not to give up. Many life lessons are learned that will stick with them for the rest of their lives.
Thanks to our staff, Mr. Sewell, Miss Light, Mrs. Hagar, Mrs. Brown and our great family of band parents our trip was very successful.
