Seventh grade Bearcats run over the Yellow Jackets

The seventh grade Bearcat football team improved their record to 5-0 Wednesday when they traveled to Thomasville to beat the Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets 38-0. The Bearcats were up 16-0 at halftime and kept the Yellow Jackets far from the end zone throughout the game.

Bainbridge scored first on a 48-yard pass from quarterback Daylon Bouie to receiver Braxton Johnson. Zion Bouie ran in for the 2-point conversion. Bouie scored next on a 58-yard run, followed by a pass from Bouie to Preston Van Houson on the 2-point conversion to go up 16-0.

Zion Bouie ran 14 yards with 5:52 left in the third quarter to put Bainbridge up to 24-0. Johnson caught a pass from Bouie for the 2 –point conversion.

With half a minute left in the third quarter, running back Dequan Reed blasted down the field for a 66-yard touchdown run, followed by a Bouie 2 –point conversion.

The Bearcats scored last with 20 seconds left in the game. Markevious Washington ran 30 yards for the touchdown, and no 2-point conversion was attempted.

The seventh grade Bearcats return to action next Wednesday at Centennial Field against Cairo.
