The seventh grade Bearcats scored early and often against an over-matched MacIntyre Park team Wednesday evening as they pulled away for a 48-0 victory. The Bearcats started the game with a six play 61-yard drive that culminated in a 12-yard touchdown run by running back Zion Bouie. Quarterback Deyon Bouie had one of the key plays of the drive when he found Braxton Johnson for a 32 yard gain.

On their next possession the Bearcats added another score on a seven yard run by Anthony Jones. The score was set up by Deyon Bouie’s 16-yard rush. On his touchdown, Jones shook off a defender in the backfield before running in for the score.

Wide receiver Pierce Taughton scored his first career touchdown on a 46-yard pass from Braxton Johnson. He found Taughton wide open at the opponent’s 26-yard line following a double reverse. Taughton raced down the sideline without a single MacIntyre Park defender in the area for the easy score.

The Bearcats closed the first half with a 28-0 lead after tight end Preston Van Houson scored on an 11-yard pass from quarterback Mason Ard.

Johnson scored his second touchdown of the day on the first play of the third quarter. A high snap was gathered by Deyon Bouie who rolled left and threw the ball to Johnson. He caught it at the Bulldog 46 yard line and ran it in the rest of the way.

The rest of the game proved to be the Dequan Reed show as he scored a 43-yard touchdown to take a 42-0 nothing lead in the third quarter. He then broke loose for a 55-yard touchdown in the fourth for the final score of the game.

The seventh grade Bearcats travel to TCC on Wednesday.
