Miss Smith and Mr. Day to wed

Sydney Smith, daughter of Gene Smith and Cathy Brown, all of Bainbridge, is engaged to wed Drew Day, son of Chris Day and Roger Day, also of Bainbridge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Catherine Byus of West Virginia and of the late James and Ruby Smith of Bainbridge and the late Frederick Pattison of West Va.

Miss Smith is a 2009 graduate of Bainbridge High School and graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor’s degree in History. She is employed as a teacher at Hutto Middle School.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Ruth Day of Bainbridge and of the late Burdine Jackson, the late Edward Jepsen and the late Russell Day.

Mr. Day is a 2010 graduate of Bainbridge High School and received a Bachelor’s of Applied Science in National Resource Management from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. He is employed as a forester with Burgundy Timber.

The wedding is scheduled for September 24 at Southwind Plantation where the reception will follow. Invitations have been sent.
