Charlie Freeman

Mr. Charlie Freeman, 79, of Attpulgus, Georgia, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016, at the home of his sister-in-law in Altamont, Tennessee.  He was born in Jasper, Alabama, on May 23, 1937, to Henry and Vida Williams Freeman, who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Winfred, Willis, Herman, Gilbert, Dock and Jimmy Freeman.

He is survived by his wife, Reba King Freeman; sons, Mitchel (Jewell) Freeman, of Gonzales, Louisiana, Neal (Darlene) Freeman, Brinson, Ga.; daughter, Lena (Fred) Presser, Danville, Kentucky; brothers, John Jr. (Gayree) Freeman, of Jasper, and Bud (Diane) Freeman, Gulfcoast, Ala.; grandchildren, Alan, Haley, Macy and Emma Grace; a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Micah Roberts and Ben Brewer officiating, burial to follow in the Altamont, Cemetery.  Visitation: 6 – 10 p.m. Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com.
