Wesley Allen Lankford, 50, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Friday, August 12, 2016.

Wesley Allen Lankford was born September 25, 1965, in Miami, Fla., the son of Paul Ray Lankford and Rowena Louise Bates Lankford. Wes was a truck driver, moving to Bainbridge in 1999 from Arcadia, Fla.. He was of Baptist faith.

Wes was a man’s man. He loved old western movies, fishing, and food. Wes was known to his friends and family as The Grill Master. If the table was full and the fish weren’t biting, Wes could be found plugged in to the television watching a cooking show for ideas.

Survivors include his brothers, Terry Lankford and his wife, Dawn, of Bainbridge, and Richard Lankford of Oregon; a special friend, Lesia Booth; his nieces and nephews that were more like his own children, Paul, Zanna and Misty Lankford; and four great-nieces and one great-nephew.

Wes was preceded in death by his parents.
