Willis Lenwood Harrell, 75, of Tallahassee, Fla., passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016, at his residence.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Teague officiating. Interment will be at Delwood Baptist Church Cemetery near Camilla, Ga.. Brant Harrell, Jackson Harrell, Mitch Parker, Preston Bradley, Stoney Lindsey, Wallace Cato, and Larry Nix will serve as active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Ivey Funeral Home, prior to the service. Online visitors may sign the guest register at

Lenwood was born March 12, 1941 in Bainbridge, Ga., the son of Brantley Harrell Sr. and Johnnie Lee Stegall Harrell. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1959. He began his career as a fireman with the City of Tallahassee in 1959 and retired with 25 years of service. He was self-employed until 1995, when he retired due to health issues. He was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Tallahassee. Lenwood enjoyed being outdoors. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing and could be found in his garden when the fish weren’t biting. One of his favorite pastimes was gathering with friends.

Survivors include his daughters, Teresa Lynn Beaudoin of Havana, Fla. and Melisa Ann Harrell of Havana; his brothers, Brantley Harrell Jr. of Bainbridge, and Erwin Harrell of Bainbridge; his sister, Judy Harrell Davis of Bainbridge; his former wife and mother of his children, Judy Patterson Harrell of Tallahassee, and his beloved pet and best friend, BoBo. Lenwood was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry Lavon Harrell.
