John, “The Boat Man” Colvin loved fishing, and boating on the Chattahoochee River with friends. He also enjoyed “Jam Sessions” with all of his buddies. He always had a way of brightening people’s day with his sense of humor, and kind heart. John had a knack for fixing things, everything from a boat engine to a broken heart. John’s greatest joy was his family, and he will be remembered as a loving, and caring father, grandfather, and brother.

John was born October 12, 1962, in Tallahassee, to the late J.T. Colvin and the late Evelyn Dnaper Colvin. He is preceded in death by his wife Carrie Roxanna Colvin.

He is survived by his daughters, Jessica (Marc) Lee, Amy (Eric) Hicks, and Christy Colvin; his six grandchildren, Shiania Lee, Zack Lee, Hanna Lee, Emily Lee, Thomas Lee, and Noah Lee; two brothers and five sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Havana, Fla., with Dr. Eric Erskine officiating the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308
