On Wednesday morning, Bainbridge State College and Georgia Southwestern State University signed an articulation agreement that will continue to benefit the region’s students.
Dr. Stuart Rayfield, Interim BSC President, and Dr. Charles Patterson, Interim GSW President, were joined by representatives from both institutions as they signed an articulation agreement, renewing the partnership.
Rayfield views the agreement as something that will greatly benefit Bainbridge State College students.
“This is going to help our students in many ways—especially in the context of geographic purposes,” she said. “It will give our students more access to four-year degrees. This is really going to open doors for them.”
Patterson added that the agreement would also benefit Georgia Southwestern State University.
“We are excited about this shared opportunity, and we know that this is the right decision to make when talking about education,” he said. “It is definitely going to bridge our campuses, building up our already strong partnership to educate this region.”
The articulation agreement between Bainbridge State College and Georgia Southwestern State University allows students at Bainbridge State who complete a two-year degree to then earn a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Computer Information Systems, or Business Administration (with a major in Marketing, Management, Accounting or Human Resource Management) online.
