Gary Clark Harrell, Sr.

Gary Clark Harrell, Sr., 69, of Vada Community, died Monday, July 18, 2016
at his residence.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 21 at Mt. Pleasant
Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery with military honors.
Rev. Conrad Salter, Rev. Thomas Snead, and Rev. Ken Cloud will officiate.

Active pallbearers will be Brantley Harrell, Steve Brock, Tony Singleton,
Spencer Bell, Larry Martin, Tracy Posey, Mark Faircloth, Melvin Brown, and
Samuel Roman.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Gwyn Sunday School Class,
Billy Jowers, Evelyn Jowers, Linda Butler, Paula Salter, and Jean Sammons.

Born February 22, 1947 in Decatur County, Mr. Harrell was the son of the
late Levy L. Harrell, Sr. and Virginia Christine Sellers Harrell and the
late Alex Lodge and Alice Lodge.  He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist
Church.  Mr. Harrell was a veteran of the United States Navy.  He served
on the USS Princeton from 1966-1969, where he was the store keeper and was
also involved with the retrieval of Apolo 10.  He served three tours in
Vietnam.  Mr. Harrell was a retired businessman, having co-owned Harrell
Equipment Company where he was the accountant and treasurer for 30 years.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Cox Harrell of Vada Community;  a
daughter, Kimberly H. Godwin (Shannon) of Pelham;  a son, Clark Harrell of
Camilla;  five grandchildren, Trey Harrell, Lauren Harrell, Clint Godwin,
Josh Godwin, and Tate Godwin;  a daughter-in-law, Shawn D. Harrell of
Camilla;  four brothers, Ronnie Harrell of Bainbridge, Levy L. Harrell,
Jr. of Pelham, Bobby Jack Harrell (Brenda) of Bainbridge, and Hugh Harrell
(Dawn) of Leesburg.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 20 at Parker-Bramlett
Funeral Home in Camilla.

Vada Rd., Climax, GA 39834.
