Everyone has their opinion on what programs and other offerings should be available for recreation in Bainbridge and Decatur County. With a recently released survey from the Recreation Authority, you have the opportunity to make your voice heard.

Authority executive director Al Kelley encouraged people to go online and take the survey

“We need to get the feedback from the city and county residents to help us decide what they want moving forward,” Kelley said. “This is a good tool to do that.”

The survey is seven questions long and covers topics ranging from new youth sports programs residents would like to see offered to facilities and senior activities.

Recreation Authority Chairman Jeff Findley called the survey an “effort to build of the outstanding recreation programs already in place.”

“The authority thought that soliciting public input would be the best way to determine how best to serve our community’s needs,” Findley said. “We are looking for honest, constructive input.”

After running the survey for two weeks, the authority plans to analyze the results and then consider what plans to take next.

“The ultimate goal is to best serve the community,” Findley said.
