Victoria Virgina Genge-Davis June 1, 2016

Victoria Virginia Genge-Davis of Brinson, Ga. passed away in her sleep at her home early Wednesday morning after a brief battle with breast cancer. She was 61 years old and a housewife for 24 years. This was her second battle with cancer.

Victoria Virgina Genge was born February 26, 1955 in Daytona Beach, Fla. the daughter of Victor Patrick Genge and Audrey Litchfield Genge. Vikki served in the United States Army. She attended Bainbridge College and Tallahassee Community College. Vikki was a charter member of Women’s Service Memorial in Washington, DC.

Vikki has been described as “just an old hippie” who loved to travel and listen to good music. She enjoyed spending time at the beach or anywhere else outdoors. Vikki had a passion for writing. Her computer was her favorite window to the world where she explored the depths of politics. Though never published, this old hippie let her mind and pen wander through the mysteries of life.

Vikki is survived by her husband, Richard Kim Davis of Brinson; her three step-sons, Thomas Richard Davis of Brandon, Miss., Phillip Jack Davis of Iron City, Ga., and Robert Daniel Davis of Ormand Beach, Fla. She had 10 grandchildren. Vikki is also survived by her sister, Patricia Genge Armstrong of Daytona Beach, Fla., her nephew, Billy Armstrong and his wife, Jessie, of Denver, Colo., and her niece, Amythest Jean Armstrong of Daytona Beach, Fla.. Vikkie was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Lea Anderson of Brinson, Ga., her father, Victor Patrick Genge of Daytona Beach, Fla., and her mother, Audrey L. Ingraham of Anchorage, Alaska.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
