Frances Kelley Josey, 80, of Climax, Ga., passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Josey was born October 7, 1935 in Decatur County, Ga., the daughter of Melvin Thomas Kelley and Maggie Mae Yawn Kelley. She was a member of Community Primitive Baptist Church in Whigham, Ga. Mrs. Josey was formerly employed by ITT Electrical Products and United Plastics. After the plants closed, she started Odds & Ends craft store in Attapulgus, which she operated for over 10 years. Mrs. Josey enjoyed going to auctions and sales, but most of all she loved cooking and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Thomas Josey and his wife, Nancy, Patricia Blanton and her husband, Wayne, Kenneth Josey and his wife, Sandra, and Vicky Thomas and her husband Jackie; her grandchildren, Tammy Beaty, Denise Bates, Shannon Blanton, Tim Blanton, Charles Josey, Amber Turknett, Gracie Clark, Ricky Grubbs, Amy Byrd, Rhonda Currin and Chris Helms; her siblings, Dorothy Maxwell, Charles Edward Kelley and his wife, Lanette and Paul Kelley and his wife, Juliet; her 24 great grandchildren; and her 4 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of over 52 years, Dance Josey; and her brother-in-law, Gene Maxwell.
