Linda Cumbie Donalson

Linda Cumbie Donalson, 70, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Walter Todd and Pastor John Woodrum officiating. Private interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Billy Donalson, Tim Donalson, Kenny Kelley, Marcus Bracewell, Stanley Donalson and Gary Wooten serving as active pallbearers.

Mrs. Donalson was born September 25, 1945 in Pelham, Ga., the daughter of Andrew Jackson Cumbie and Jimmer Lou Allen Cumbie. She retired from the Decatur County Board of Education and attended Prosperity Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Donalson was the jokester of the family and was very independent. She was married to the love of her life, Herbert D. Donalson, for almost 46 years.

Survivors include her children, Tori Gravlee and her husband, Justin of Climax, Ga. and Micah Donalson and Hannah of Bainbridge, Ga.; her grandchildren, Andrew Gravlee, Ethan Gravlee, Samuel Asher Gravlee, Silas Gravlee, Harley Donalson, Hallie Donalson, and Haley Donalson; her siblings, Carolyn Brooks and her husband, Roland, of Pelham, and Hayward Cumbie of Albany, Ga.; her sister-in-law, Roma Cumbie of Mitchell County, Ga. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert D. Donalson; and her brother, Durwood Cumbie.
