Erica Humphrey, the daughter of Robert Humphrey and Gina Swanner of Bainbridge is engaged to wed Clayton Powell, son of Ralph W. and Carol Powell, also of Bainbridge

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mary Hooks and the late Jimmy Hooks of Donalsonville, and of Alma Humphrey and Willie Snipes of Bainbridge.

She is a 2006 graduate of Bainbridge High School and received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Valdosta State University before going on to earn her Master’s of Science in Nurse Anesthesia from Wolford College in Naples, Florida.

She is employed at Waterman Hospital in Tavares, Florida.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Geneva Josey and the late Willard Josey of Bainbridge and of Jane Powell and the late Ralph E. Powell, also of Bainbridge.

Mr. Powell is a 2005 graduate of Bainbridge High School and has earned his Associate of Science in Respiratory Care from Southwest Regional Technical College.

The wedding is planned for April 23 at 6:30 p.m. at Pine Hill Plantation where the reception will follow. Invitations will be sent.

The couple will make their residence in Tavares, Florida following the ceremony.
