The Bainbridge Gym Cats attended their first regular season meet last weekend in Macon, bringing home multiple medals for a strong start to the year.

The BHS Gym Cats placed in every event and won first place overall in the meet with 10 total high schools.

Sophomore McKenzie Findley came in first place all around, with senior Haylie Wilkinson coming in fourth all around.

Other gymnasts that helped the team were Josie Deal and Emily Chambers. Emily Perkins was not present at the event.

The BMS Gym Cats also won first place team.

Bainbridge gymnasts filled all three spots on the podium. Caroline Littleton came in first place all around, Carmen Fillingame came in second all around and Kennedy Jester was first all around.

“It was pretty exciting for it to be our first meet,” coach Lea Hawkins said. “We only have those three girls on the middle school team, so they compete in every meet.”
