 Graveside funeral services for Charles Edward Mobley, 63, of Climax, Ga., are            at 3:30 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2016, in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Climax.  Rev. Robert Crapps officiating. Mr. Mobley passed away at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL, on Monday, February 29, 2016.

Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews, Tom Maxwell, Paul Maxwell, Mark Maxwell, Richard Maxwell, Justin Maxwell, Josh McElvy and Billy Fletcher.

Mr. Mobley was born on November 22, 1952, in Cairo, Ga., to the late Alto Mobley and Myrtle Pafford Mobley. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked with Tom Maxwell Farms for over 20 years.

Survivors include: sisters, Martha Sumner (Merle) of Thomasville, Ga., Cheryl Hopkins (Dave) of Cairo; and nieces and nephews: Carla Milam (Todd) of Ochlocknee, Ga., Christie Allen (Jeff) of Cairo, Michael Sumner (Carolyn) of Hahira, Ga., Natalie Scarbrough (Patrick) of Thomasville, Tiffany Knight (Chad) of Whigham, Ga., Reggie Mobley (Wendy) of Whigham, Rodney Mobley (Buffy) of Whigham; and a host of grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, William “Bill” Mobley, Jimmy Mobley; sisters, Iris Mobley, Margie Mobley; nephew, Eric Hopkins.

The family will receive friends at graveside immediately following the funeral service.
