Evelyn C. Dyches Beckham, 85 of Ogallala, Nebraska, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the Indian Hills Manor in Ogallala.

Evelyn was born October 27, 1930 at Claxton, Georgia to F.M. and Blanche (Caldwell) Jones. She attended school in Orlando, Fla.  n the mid 1940’s, Evelyn married Linwood Franklin Dyches in Orlando. Linwood and Evelyn would spend the next 50 years evangelizing and starting churches throughout the US. Their union was blessed with three children. Evelyn devoted her life to God and church; where her children spent the majority of their upbringing. Rev. Linwood passed away in 1996. Evelyn later married Buster Beckham. Evelyn moved to Ogallala in 2014, to be closer to family. Evelyn’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She had also been a past volunteer at the Orange Memorial Hospital in Orlando in the neonatal intensive-care unit.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Linwood F. Dyches; second husband, Buster Beckham; daughter, Linda Pino; two step-daughters, Rosmarie, and Ann; granddaughter, Melissa Williams; two brothers, Clarence Jones and Frank Mac Jones, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Reverend Kenny (Barbara) Dyches of Ogallala; daughter, Frances (Dale) Myers of Huntsville, Texas; five grandchildren, Rhadena, Shawn, Kenny, Jonna and Caylee; six step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; two brothers, George (Lois) Jones Sr. of Orlando, FL, Carlton (Linda) Jones of Moreno Valley, Calif.; sister, Bobbie Jean (Reverend John) Bridgmond of Orlando; and many other relatives and friends.
