Tim Wise to speak at Bainbridge State College on Thursday

On Thursday, Feb. 4, internationally-acclaimed social commentator and educator, Tim Wise, will speak to the Bainbridge State College community as part of the Third Annual Carter Arts & Lecture Series. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the lecture beginning at 7 p.m. As always, the Carter Arts & Lecture Series events are free and open to the public. No tickets required for entry.
Tim Wise is among the most prominent anti-racist writers and educators in the United States. Named one of “25 Visionaries Who are Changing Your World,” by Utne Reader, Wise has spoken in all 50 states, on over 800 college and high school campuses, and to community groups across the nation.
He has also lectured internationally in Canada and Bermuda on issues of comparative racism, race and education, racism and religion, and racism in the labor market. He is the author of six books, including the highly acclaimed memoir, White Like Me: Reflections on Race from a Privileged Son.
