Coach Rickey McCullough’s Bainbridge High School Bearcats divided a pair of Region 1-AAAA basketball games over the weekend.
On Friday the Bearcats defeated the Dougherty High School Trojans 89-51 at home, and on Saturday they lost to the Monroe High School Tornadoes 65-52 in Albany.
“We really played hard and well against a good Dougherty team Friday night,” McCullough said. “Saturday night against Monroe we played hard again but our legs were just not strong. We are playing hard and really getting after it defensively every night. The effort has really been there for us all season. Now we have got to focus on getting ready for the upcoming Region 1-AAAA Tournament.”
