Mr. Gordon Wesley Hutchins, age 54, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016. Services for Mr. Hutchins were held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 15, at Southwest Baptist Church, 1101 Faceville Highway, Bainbridge, Georgia. The Rev. Stanley Phillips and the Rev. David Grubbs officiated. Interment followed in Roselawn Memory Gardens. Leonard Phillips, Frank Kay, Randy Hand, Sam Jones, Robert Givens, and Curt Hatcher served as pallbearers. The family received friends 6 to 8 on Thursday evening at Southwest Baptist Church.
Gordon was born December 28, 1961 in Bainbridge, to Durell Wesley Hutchins, Jr. and Melanie Faircloth Hutchins. He was a devoted member of Southwest Baptist Church. He was very generous with his service to his church. Gordon dearly loved his family. Tyler and Madison, Gordon’s children, were his heart. Gordon Hutchins worked hard in his business and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish. Gordon Hutchins will be sorely missed by the family and many friends he loved so much.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tyler and Andrea Hutchins; daughter, Madison Hutchins, all of Climax, Georgia; mother, Melanie Faircloth Hutchins; brother and sister-in-law, Stacy and Sherry Hutchins; sister, Deanna Ellis, all of Bainbridge; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Durell Wesley Hutchins, Jr.
