Cecil E. Williams, 86, of Bainbridge, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Harrell officiating. Interment followed at West Bainbridge Cemetery with Danny Dollar, Dennis Dollar, Brad Dollar, Stanley Williams, James Ard, Jason Williams, Daryl Copeland, and Eddie Williams serving as active pallbearers.

Cecil was born July 30, 1929 in Brinson, Ga., the son of Harry Bradford Williams and Rosa Neal Brown Williams. Mr. Williams married Juanita McCullers on December 31, 1951. He proudly served his fellow Americans as a medic and paratrooper in the United States Army.
Cecil, known to many as a generous man, loved life and loved his family. His passion for gardening was evident in his personal orchard of fruit trees. Cecil enjoyed finding a good deal and sharing his find with others. Recently he became interested in genealogy and spent hours learning more about the family he dearly loved.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita M. Williams; his children, Dewayne Williams of Bainbridge, Gayland Williams and his wife, Pat, of Cordele, Gloria Harrell and her husband, Larry, of Bainbridge, Roxanne Gilstrap and her husband, Edwin, of Bainbridge, Phillip Williams of Bainbridge, and Melanie Krasala and her husband, Mike, also of Bainbridge; his siblings, Helen Dollar of Bainbridge and Joe Williams of Roswell; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Gene Williams, and his siblings, Hazel Copeland and Harry Williams.
