Betty Palmer Thomas, 86, of Bainbridge, passed away Friday, January 1, 2016.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Ivey Funeral Home, Bainbridge, GA. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 4 p.m. at Holcombe Funeral Home Chapel, Union, SC. Betty was born August 3, 1929 in Union, SC the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Palmer. She relocated to Bainbridge in 1973 with her husband, Algie Haskell Thomas. Betty was a member of First Baptist Church. Her favorite pastime was shopping.

Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Thomas of Bainbridge; her siblings, Ronnie Palmer, Donald Palmer, Michael Palmer, and Dude Palmer all of Union, SC, Carl Palmer of Atlanta, and Catherine Jet of San Antonio, Texas; her grandson, Garrett Hartzog and great-grandchild, Rylan C. Hartzog.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings, Mary Richardson, Oliver Palmer, James Palmer, Sonny Palmer, and Tom Palmer.
