Mrs. Salter was born February 3, 1945 in Bainbridge, the daughter of Fred Williamson and Ruby Hughes Williamson. Fredda lived all of her life in Decatur County. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and married James Delano Salter in 1973. Fredda retired from Englehard after many years of faithful service as the secretary to the plant manager. After retirement she spent several years as a volunteer with Memorial Hospital and Manor working as a secretary and in the Hospital Gift Shop.

Fredda was a devoted Christian and enjoyed Bible study with fellow believers. She shared her love for music, especially southern gospel, when she played the piano for her home church, First Church of God. Fredda loved to care for others and family was a priority. She enjoyed her yoga classes at the Bainbridge-Decatur County YMCA and playing Mahjong in her spare time.

Survivors include her husband, J.D. Salter; her children, Peggy Michelle Salter and Del Salter; and her brothers, Jack Williamson of Faceville, James Williamson and his wife LaJean of Bainbridge, and Larry Williamson and his wife Glenda of Florissant, MO.
