Nadia Marshall led the Lady Cats in scoring 20 points. Asia Gordon was also in double figures with 10 and Kiarra King put in 9.

Rounding out the Lady Cats scoring chart were Tytianna Roseborough with 7, Alexis Gaines, Ziaunna Andrews, Tianna Miller all with 2.

Lady Cats coach Kelvin Cochran said his team’s strong defense was a big key to their victory over the Lady Yellow Jackets.

“We made it difficult for Central to get the ball into the front court, and when they did, we did not give them many good looks at the basket,” coach Cochran said.

The Bearcats returned to action Friday when they traveled to Cairo for a Region 1-AAAA game with the Cairo High School Syrupmaids. Tonight they will host the Thomasville High School Bulldogs concluding their pre-holiday regular season schedule.
