“Despite the injury to Tyree Crump, and a few other minor physical problems, we really came out and took command Saturday night at home against Worth County,” the Bearcats head coach said. “We put the injuries behind us and came in and got the job done. Trevon Shaw and Miles Thomas had some key rebounds.”

Joining Crump in the scoring column Friday against the Patriots were Devontae Jones with 14 and Trevon Shaw with 13.

Devontae Jones and Tyree Crump combined for 43 points Saturday night against the Rams. Crump bounced back to pour in a game high 20 points Saturday night against the Rams.

Leading the way for the Patriots Friday night against the Bearcats were Alec Williams with 24 points and Kris Gardner with 16 points.

The Bearcats returned to Region 1-AAAA action Tuesday when they traveled to Thomas County Central High School Lady Yellow Jackets. On Friday they will travel to Cairo for a Region 1-AAAA game against the Cairo High School Syrupmakers.

Between Christmas and New Years the Bearcats will be traveling to Panama City Beach, Florida, to play in the Dec. 28-30 Southern Beach Blowout Tournament.

“At Fort Walton Beach we will have an opportunity to go up against some very good teams,” coach McCullough said. “That will be beneficial to us when we get back to our post holiday schedule.”
