Grace Christian Academy takes loss to Marauders

The Maclay School Marauders downed the Grace Christian Academy Cougars 60-49 Thursday in Tallahassee evening the Cougars record at 4-4.

Following the game, Cougars coach Mallory McRae praised his teams overall effort.

“Even though we lost tonight, they guys played better than they have played in the last few games,” coach McRae said. “We are working hard on defense and executing much better on offense. I was proud of their effort tonight.”

Leading the way for the Cougars against the Marauders was Jack McRae with 20 points, 8 rebounds and a steal. His brother McRae had 10 points, 7 rebounds an assist and a steal.

Noah Thomas had 8 points, 2 assists and 3 steals, Nate Walton had 6 points and 4 rebounds, and Anders Austinson had 5 rebounds.

The Cougars will return to action Monday and Tuesday December 28 and 29 when they travel to Phenix City, Alabama, to compete in the Border Wars Tournament.
