Brandon O’Connor has been named a reporter for The Post-Searchlight, Bainbridge Living magazine, Rifle and Rod magazine and the publications’ associated websites. He began work on Monday.
O’Connor, 23, comes to Bainbridge from Parrish, Florida.
Prior to living in Parrish, O’Connor spent time living in multiple cities throughout Florida, Georgia, and Louisiana. He graduated from Brunswick High, in Brunswick, Georgia, in May 2010. He then attended Florida State University, from where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Communication Studies in December of 2013.
While at Florida State he served as a reporter and Sports director at WVFS-Tallahassee. He also worked as an intern and digital media reporter for Warchant.com.
“I am excited to get started at The Post-Searchlight,” O’Connor said. “I look forward to getting to know the people throughout Bainbridge and Decatur County and to share their stories.”
Post-Searchlight Managing Editor Powell Cobb said O’Connor will make for a strong member of the news team.
“We are excited to have O’Connor not just become a member of our staff, but a member of the Bainbridge community,” Cobb said. “He is a talented writer, and I fully expect him to report top-quality news to our readers every week.”
