Coach Mallory McRae, who coaches the Cougars, said turnovers were the key to the loss to the Warriors.

“We had too many turnovers and not enough assists Thursday against Brookwood,” McRae said. “I have to give credit to Brookwood. They played good defense, which caused a lot of that. We have got a lot of things to work on before we start region play in January.”

McRae liked his team’s effort against the Bobcats Monday, but cautioned that they still have a lot of things to work on.

“We played much better tonight,” the Cougars coach said after the game, “but we have got a lot of things to work on before we start region play in January.”

Thursday, the Cougars will travel to Monticello, Florida, for a game against the Aucilla Christian Academy Warriors.
