Walter A. Morgan was born on June 27, 1950, in St. Catherine, Jamaica. He was born to the parents of Harold and Idella Morgan. He was one of nine children. He worked as a driver for many years before leaving Jamaica in 1989 for the United States, to start a new life.
Walter was the type of man that whoever knew him loved him. He was a log trucker for 23 years in Georgia and Florida. He was a hardworking and caring person who would do anything for anyone if he could. Always a supportive husband and father who put his family first, he loved children and always showed love to anyone around him. He will forever be known for his kind spirit and accent that brought joy to everyone who heard his sweet voice. Walter was a man who had very little to say, but would also look on the positive side of things with an understanding and loving heart. He gave his life to God in the 90’s and reinstated his membership in 2015 at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church in Colquitt, Georgia.
Walter is survived by: his wife Melissa Groomes Morgan of Climax, Ga., by two siblings; a brother Vincent Morgan and a sister Sesain Scott of Jamaica, his children; Carol Morgan (Jamaica), and Janet Morgan (Austin) of Connecticut, his favorite nieces NaToyaBaire of Brooklyn, NY and Latoya Ridley of Atlanta, Ga., Tyneshia, Shendora, Tammy, and Seddrick Adams of Bainbridge, Ga., and also a host of Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.
