Carl Earl Connell, 82, of Sale City died Saturday, November 14, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 17, at Sale City Baptist Church with interment in Sale City Cemetery. Rev. Tim Bozeman officiated.
Born November 14, 1933 in Colquitt County, Mr. Connell was the son of the late Carl Cecil Connell and Eula Mae Brown Connell.
He was married to the late Lottie Mae Burnett Connell. Mr. Connell was a retired iron worker, farmer, and cattleman.
He attended Sale City Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son Michael Earl “Mickey” Connell and a sister Alma Mims.
Survivors include three daughters, Fran Connell Trulock of Bainbridge,
Libby Connell Prince of Fernandina Beach, Fla., Gina Connell Bailey Ray) of Albany; two sons, Scott Connell (Kelli) of Sale City, Jeff Connell of Sale City; seven sisters, Helen Cutchens of Abbeville, Ala., Barbara Sims of Tallahassee, Fla., Dot Tomberlin of Cooksville, Tenn., Vera Johnston of Lynn Haven, Fla., Laverne Pope of Nashville, Tenn, Mary Alice King of Naples, Fla., and Judy Pless of Cordele; two brothers, Bill Connell of Albany and Gene Connell of Sale City; seven grandchildren, Heys Wade (Brooke), Lunden Connell Hughes (Sam), Daylon Connell, Xach Nunez, Presley Bailey, Grayson Bailey, and Relic Bailey; numerous great grandchildren; first wife, Hilda Stevens of Bainbridge.
Visitation was Monday, Nov. 16 from 6-8 p.m., at Parker-Bramlett
Funeral Home is in Camilla.
Memorials may be made to Sale City Baptist Church.
